Sheriff's Vehicle Clips VW

At approximately 11:45 AM Saturday morning, a traffic accident involving a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s vehicle and a Volkswagen occurred at the intersection of Sierra Hwy and Placerita Canyon sending the squad car over a ravine. The Sheriff’s Deputy was responding Code 3 (Lights and Siren) to an assault complaint when he clipped the bumper of the VW according to Lt. Walker at the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

Possible Drug Tests Ahead For High Schools

Hart District Officials consider making students involved in extra curricular activities take drug tests. 


At first, the drug testing was being considered as a voluntary effort, but after support shown from both officials and the audience at the meeting, mandatory testing a much discussed option. 


State Assembly Passes Budget

Senate still weighing in

ImageEarly Friday morning the California State Assembly successfully passed the 2007-2008 State Budget. The act came after much late night debate, with many legislators up until the wee hours of the morning.


Now, the State Senate is weighing the 140 billion dollar issue, however, it is difficult to predict how they will act.
