Local Deputy Facing Abuse Charges

8-year old boy allegedly the victim

ImageA woman who worked as a local Deputy here in Santa Clarita has been charged with corporal injury to a child. Other felonies have also been charged to her.


According to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, the charges come after she allegedly mistreated an 8-year old in her family.

County Backs Safety Recommendations For I-5 Tunnel

Supervisor Antonovich believes in Fire Department's ideas to improve safety in I-5 tunnel


In an effort to prevent future tragedies similar to the October 12 truck wreck and fire, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich’s motion to urge the California Department of Transportation to implement safety recommendations by the Los Angeles County Fire Department as the tunnel is being repaired. 


Special Children's Art Foundation

New project under construction at Sierra Vista Junior High

ImageThe Special Children’s Art Foundation is occupying one of the classrooms at Sierra Vista Junior High in Canyon Country while they put some of the finishing touches on their latest mural called “Community in Action” which will be displayed at the Santa Clarita Community Center later this month. The mural will be 31 feet long and 8 feet high.
