Fire Rips Through Apartment

Fire leaves three families without a home.

Food left cooking unsupervised was the cause of a fire Tuesday afternoon that destroyed one apartment and affected two others.

 

The fire happened at 26790 North Claudette Street in Canyon Country, in an apartment complex near Ruether Avenue and Soledad Canyon Road.

Abracadabra: Making Funding Appear Magically

Magic show to benefit Boys and Girls Club.

The International Brotherhood of Magicians of the Santa Clarita Valley will host its first annual magic show fundraiser for the local Boys & Girls Club on Saturday, March 10.

"An Evening of Magic" will take place inside the Boys & Girls Club's gymnasium at 24909 Newhall Avenue in Newhall.  Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for close-up magic while the two-hour stage show will start at 7 p.m.
