    Fundraiser Set To Assist Newhall Auditorium

    Theatre Arts for Children Foundation, in collaboration with Santa Clarita Playhouse, is hosting a wine tasting event at the Egg Plantation on Saturday, July 16, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

    Proceeds from the fundraiser will be placed towards the renovation of the Newhall Auditorium, specifically for fire and safety occupancy and compliance. The auditorium is located on the Newhall Elementary School site.


    Tickets are available for $35.00 per person and can be purchased by contacting Sue Neiberger at 661.253.0804.

    4.9 Earthquake Rattles Santa Clarita Nerves

    A 4.9 earthquake centered in the Yucaipa area of San Bernardino County was felt throughout the Santa Clarita Valley just before 2pm Thursday, causing no known damage but rattling a lot of nerves... The quake was followed about 60 seconds later by a 3.5 aftershock in the same area. Mike McCormick, Public Information Officer, says no damage has been reported so far in the Santa Clarita Valley.

    Assembly Debates 2005 Budget

    In a lengthy debate on the 2005 Budget yesterday, the Assembly voted down the Democrat’s attempt to pass an unbalanced budget and a tax increase in the same day.  Assemblywoman Sharon Runner (R – Lancaster) voted “No” on both of these proposals.

    George Runner Honors SCV Small Business

    Senator George Runner salutes Santa Clarita based Duncan Industries as Small Business of the Year.

    (SACRAMENTO) --- Senator George Runner (R-Antelope Valley) selected David Duncan with Duncan Industries based in the Santa Clarita Valley to be honored at the “Salute to Small Business” luncheon sponsored by the California Small Business Association in Sacramento.  Today is California Small Business Day. 

    Placerita Canyon Nature Center Reptile Club

    Placerita Canyon Nature Center will kick off its new Reptile Club on Sunday, June 19th from 1 to 3 pm. The club will meet the third Sunday of the month and is for ages 7 to 17.     Dodgers Lose to Kansas City 3-1

    In the second game of the series, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Kansas City Royals 3-1. Jeff Kent scored their only run of the night. Hopefully tomorrow the Dodgers will turn their luck around and defeat the Royals. Tune in Thursday at 4:30pm to your Hometown Station AM-1220 KHTS.
