    West Nile Virus in LA County

    A San Fernando Valley woman has recovered from the first case of West Nile virus in Los Angeles County this season, health officials stated Wednesday.

    The case follows the discovery of a dead crow in Valencia Meadows Park last week that tested positive for the mosquito-bourne disease.  So far, no human cases have been reported here in the SCV.

    Supervisors Endorse Vicious Dog Bill

    Legislation aimed at reducing vicious dog attacks in L.A. County would allow mandatory spay & neuter programs for certain breeds deemed more aggressive than others.
