    City Introduces New Interactive Features To HikeSantaClarita.com

    The City of Santa Clarita recently unveiled a few new interactive features on theHikeSantaClarita.com website, including “Ask Dr. Norm,” a question/answer column to provide outdoor enthusiasts, mountain bikers, and hikers with specific information about Santa Clarita’s wide open spaces.  Dr. Norman Herr, a CSUN professor, answers general and geological questions about wildlife, flora and fauna in the Santa Clarita Valley as submitted by community members.

    West Ranch Softball Team Downs Rancho Cucamonga In First Round Of CIF Playoffs

    The West Ranch softball team beat Rancho Cucamonga, 4-1, in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.

    Kylie Sorenson was 2-for-4 and scored two runs. Charlotte Romero drove in a run in the second inning. Keeley Walsh had an RBI single in the fifth inning and Mollie Sorenson knocked in a run with a triple in the sixth inning.
