Hart Wins Valley Invitational League Baseball Championship, 8-4, Over Saugus

Hart beat Saugus, 8-4, to win the Valley Invitational Baseball League championship at Birmingham High.

The Indians scored four runs in the fourth inning to break a 3-3 tie.

Nick Valaika doubled and drove in a run in the fourth inning for Hart. He added a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.

Dodgers Just Keep Winning, Beat Yankees 3-2

In a game heard live on AM-1220 KHTS Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Yankees, 3-2. The game was tied in the bottom of the 9th, when Mark Ellis singled in Andre Ethier to seal the victory. The Dodgers continue to gain ground in the standings, and now lead the second-place Arizona Diamondbacks by 3 and a half games in the National League West.
