Freshwater Report:

1)  Castaic Lake...Good striper fishing in the Marina on swimbaits.  Largemouth bass are also chewing on both jigs and nightcrawlers around Eucalyptus Point.  Catfish are biting near the Buoy Line.

Saugus Girls Soccer Team Shuts Out Lancaster In Season Opener

The Saugus girls soccer team shut out Lancaster, 4-0, to win its season opener.

Monica Allen scored two second-half goals and paced the Centurions. Avery Schulhofer assisted on both goals for Saugus in the first half.

Brenna Savoie and Kassandra Jones gave Saugus a 2-0 lead with goals in the first half.

SCV Home-Sale Prices Low But Steady

More single-family homes were sold in October than September, but at slightly lower prices, according to data Tuesday from the Southland Regional Association of Realtors.

The typical single-family home changed hands for $360,000 in October, down from $370,000 in September, while condominium prices averaged $200,000 in October versus $203,900 in September.

City Officials Are Bringing Major Cycling Race Back To Santa Clarita

The Amgen Tour of California will be spending two days in Santa Clarita as it rolls through California next May.

The internationally recognized, 750-mile, 8-stage race will begin its third stage May 14 in Palmdale and end the same day in Santa Clarita around 3:45 p.m. The following day, the fourth stage will start in Santa Clarita and finish that same day in Santa Barbara.
