Despite the fact that the Federal Housing Finance Agency released their report accidentally on Tuesday evening instead of Wednesday morning, the important aspect is that the report continues to show an improving housing market.  According to the FHFA home prices rose 0.7% in August following a 0.1% rise in July.

Part of a local parish’s effort to renovate its decades-old property passed a new milestone Monday, as the community celebrated the groundbreaking of its new lot.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station are seeking two suspects in the burglary of a Newhall facility for pets.

"They went into the veterinary store and stole some stuff," according to Lt. Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station, describing the daylight robbery of All Creatures Emergency at the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Chestnut. "They didn't mess with anyone or hurt anybody," he added.
