    Infant/Child CPR Classes Offered At Hospital

    Summer is the time for fun at the pool and barbecues on the beach for many Californians. Unfortunately, it is also the peak time from drowning accidents. At least 172 children died across the United States in drowning accidents between the Memorial Day holiday last year and the Labor Day weekend, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. California had the most number of child drownings for the summer with 27 drownings and 15 nonfatal incidents.

    Hart's Tim White Falls Inches Shy Of CIF Triple Jump Title

    khts_sportsHart’s Tim White fell a tad short of winning a CIF State title in the track and field championships at Buchanan High School in Clovis, but he battled to the very end.

    White was the runner-up in the triple jump at the CIF State Track and Field Championship in Clovis. He broke the 50-foot barrier early in the meet and had the nation’s best jump at 51 feet, 5 inches.

    1 Busted For DUI At Friday Night Checkpoint

    One person was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving at a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint Friday night on Magic Mountain Parkway near Avignon Drive in Valencia.

    A total of 1,204 vehicles were screened and four drivers were given field sobriety tests at the checkpoint, which ran from 6 p.m. to 2 p.m.
