Student Volunteer Of The Year At Placerita Canyon Nature Center

This young lady comes to volunteer at the Placerita Canyon Nature Center, one of the few places where she volunteers while also handling a heavy load as a full-time student. She studies Biological and Physical sciences at College of the Canyons.

It's A Banner Day In Sports At West Ranch High School

The baseball, softball and volleyall teams all had reasons to celebrate.

The West Ranch baseball team won its first Foothill League championship with a 6-3 win over Saugus.

J.C. Cloney pitched the complete game and didn’t allow a run until the seventh inning. He also drove in the Wildcats first run in the third inning.

Tickets Still Available For SCV Dodger Night

dodgerslogoA once-in-a-lifetime opportunity awaits one lucky Santa Clarita baseball fan. This month, community members who purchase a ticket to the 35th Annual Santa Clarita Dodger Day on Saturday, May 19, will be entered into a drawing to pitch the first baseball during the game at Dodger Stadium.

Tickets are still available now through noon on Thursday, and can be purchased online or at the City of Santa Clarita’s Aquatic Center, located at 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway.

Eighteen Teens Honored As Heroes By City
