Body Found On Roadside Of Angeles Crest Highway

khts_crime_genericAt approximately 5:15 Thursday morning, a passing motorist saw a body lying on the side of the roadway next to the guard rail on Angeles Crest Highway at mile marker 27.50.

Although detectives found ballistic evidence at the scene, the nature of the victim's injuries are unknown at this time.

UPDATED: Compost Fire Continues To Burn, HazMat Called In

UPDATED 8:20 PM -The smell of smoke was strong across Santa Clarita Wednesday afternoon, as a compost fire continues to burn on the west side of Santa Clarita.

According to Los Angeles County Fire, the compost fire- called the Potrero Incident- is burning large piles of mulch near Potrero Canyon, west of Pico Canyon Road and Stevenson Ranch Parkway. Water drops were used off and on throughout the afternono.
