DUI/Driver's License Checkpoint Set For April 27 In SCV

DUIcheckpointLASDThe Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station's Traffic Unit will conduct a DUI/driver's license checkpoint at an undisclosed location in the Santa Clarita Valley on Friday, April 27, from 6 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday.

The goal of the checkpoint is to educate drivers about the hazards of drunk driving, and to enforce California D.U.I. laws.

Valencia Baseball Team Rallies In Seventh Inning Against West Ranch

IMG_2155The Valencia baseball team scored two runs in the seventh inning and completed a come-from-behind, 5-3, win over West Ranch.

Brian Mundell knocked in both runs in the top of the seventh inning with a double off the right field wall.

West Ranch had a 3-1 lead in the third inning, but Valencia scored four unanswered runs to win the game.

Chris Gimenez earned the win in relief, tossing 5 2/3 shutout innings.

April 18, 2012: Kings Miss Series Sweep, Lose To Canucks 3-1

In a game heard live on KHTS, the Los Angeles Kings were unable to complete a sweep of the Vancouver Canucks in Game 4 of the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Kings lost 3-1, and also now lead the series 3 games to 1. Check out Game 5 Sunday (time to be determined), on AM-1220 KHTS!
