    Youth Orchestra To Perform April 21

    The Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra, along with the Prelude Strings & Winds and the Symphony of the Canyons will be performing on April 21 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center, in a Classical and Romantic Masterworks Concert, with “an exciting mix of compositions both wonderfully familiar and excitingly new.”

    1)  Castaic Lake....The upper lake will receive a DFG trout plant this week.  The bite for all species has been on/off because of fluctuations in weather and water temps.  Still some good catfishin near the Buoy Line.  A  very lucky
    lady angler nabbed a 10 pound striper this past week!

Through routine screenings, however, colorectal cancer can be prevented and cured if detected and treated early.

    Valencia Golf Team Falls Short Against Chaminade At Robinson Ranch

    khts_sportsValencia’s Jonathan Chang had the low round against Chaminade in a match at Robinson Ranch, but the Vikings lost to the Eagles by 14 strokes.

    Chang shot a 3-under 68 and had five birdies. Teammate Glen Lee was 7-over at 79.

    Valencia shot 408 as a team to Chaminade’s 394.

    The first Foothill League golf match of the season is at Valencia Country Club today. All six teams from the Foothill League are entered.

    Tee time is at 12:30.

    March 26, 2012: Kings Fall To Canucks, 1-0

    In a game heard live on KHTS, the Vancouver Canucks beat the Los Angeles Kings, by a final score of 1-0. The Kings, with 5 games left to play, are trying to cling to a playoff spot. Tune in Wednesday for our next Kings game, on AM-1220 KHTS!

    “Lately we’ve been getting so many Spanish speaking individuals that I saw a real need for them to have their own group,” said Quashen.
