Hart District Hosts Theater Festival This Weekend

The festival is scheduled for Golden Valley High School Theatre on Friday and the Valencia High School on Saturday, from 9 am – 3 pm.

Megan Dawe Sets Saugus Girls Basketball Scoring Record

khts_sportsIt might be the best kept secret in the history of Saugus High School basketball.

Megan Dawe broke the school record for scoring in Wednesday’s CIF Southern Section Division 2A playoff game against Norco. She scored eight points to finish her high school career with 1,275 points.

But Saugus coach Kent Eaton said Dawe was unaware she was even close to setting the school record for scoring.

Malted Beverage Recalled For Cutting Hazard

RECALLMaltaGoyaThe Florida Brewery, Inc. is recalling certain lots of Goya, Great Value, Hatuey, Mr. Special, Polar, Publix, Regal, and SuperMax brand non-alcoholic malta beverages packaged in 7-oz bottles because glass on the exterior of the bottles may break when the twist-off cap is removed from the bottle and can result in cuts to the mouth.

To date, the Company has received two reports of consumers experiencing cuts to the mouth.

Saugus Eliminated From CIF Girls Basketball Playoffs

khts_sportsThe Saugus girls basketball team had a bittersweet ending to its season.

Megan Dawe set the school record for scoring, but Saugus was eliminated from the CIF Southern Section Division 2A basketball playoffs in a 58-38 loss to Norco.

Dawe needed only four points to break the school record held by Gabby Conn. Dawe scored eight points against Norco to finish with 1,275 points in her high school career.
