Project Prom Offers Magical Night For Some Hart District Students

Prom_2011_Jarek_1The Hart School District and the Assistance League of Santa Clarita, are working together to help students in need make the dream of attending prom a reality.

Project Prom, now in its third year, is a district-wide program that will serve up to 1,000 students this year by providing prom dresses, suits or a tux rental, shoes, jewelry and other accessories. A collection drive is under way with a need for additional prom dresses to be donated.

Feds Warn Marketers About Background Screening Apps

FTClogoThe Federal Trade Commission warned marketers of six mobile applications that provide background screening apps that they may be violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

The FTC warned the apps marketers that, if they have reason to believe the background reports they provide are being used for employment screening, housing, credit, or other similar purposes, they must comply with the Act.

SCV Fishing Report February 7th: Local Lakes And Saltwater Report

1)  Castaic Lake....A couple weeks ago was the last trout plant here.  Fishing has remained fair to good.  There was a big 13 pound largemouth bass caught recently by a Valencia resident!  However, the bass fishing along with all other species has been on the slow side.

Saugus, Hart Girls Soccer Teams Tied For First Place In Foothill League

khts_sportsThe Saugus and Hart girls soccer teams are tied for first place in the Foothill League standings entering the final week of the season.

Saugus is coming off a 4-4 draw against Valencia. The Hart girls shut out Golden Valley 2-0.

Saugus is on the road and plays West Ranch today. Hart is home against Valencia.

The Canyon girls soccer team plays at Golden Valley.
