    UPDATED: Man Stabbed In Canyon Country

    Two men were stabbed in Canyon Country Wednesday night and are at the hospital now.

    They might be going from the hospital to adjoining jail cells, depending on what investigators find out.

    Shortly after 6:30 p.m. rescue personnel from LA County Fire responded to a call for a stabbing victim in the 28800 block of Loretta Drive in Canyon Country.

    Drugs Seized During Sand Canyon Traffic Stop

    khts_crimeDeputies confiscated a substantial amount of narcotics and arrested a 25-year-old man on Tuesday in Canyon Country after a seemingly routine traffic stop.

    The driver, Moises Marroquin, a male Hispanic, was pulled over around 1 p.m. on Sand Canyon near the 14 freeway for vehicle code violations. He was found to be unlicensed and was detained and his vehicle searched.

    Kid Gloves Removed For Arts Grants, Almost

    City_council_2_28_12What should have been a feel good moment for the city council, the opportunity to deliver $48,000 worth of arts grants to deserving arts organizations, got off to a Rocky, er...rocky start as the kid gloves were threatened to be removed.

    Before council discussion was over, those arts organizations who’d expected $7,500 grants faced losing hundreds of dollars, and the respect of the Arts Commission’s decision-making process would come into question.

    Death Threats Put Valencia Resident Behind Bars

    Lt. Mark Hershey told KHTS that Vahe Ohanian came into the Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s station on Feb. 24 around 11 p.m. and complained to the desk officers about the posting of pictures in the lobby, specifically those of city council members.
