Golden Valley running back Earl Johnson broke the school record for rushing, but the Grizzlies lost to San Marino, 38-20, last night.
Johnson rushed for 345 yards, breaking the mark of 202 yards set by Jeff Coprich last year. He scored a touchdown in the third quarter to give Golden Valley a 20-10 lead.
San Marino scored 28 unanswered points in the second half and took advantage of seven Golden Valley turnovers.
