Saturday, the Kings played the Buffalo Sabres at the 02 World in Berlin, Germany. After a scoreless First Period the Sabres came on strong, leading with three goals by the Third Period, with the Kings having only scored on a speedy power play by Anze Kopitar. By the final period, Anze Kopitar had made another goal, but it wasn't enough to save the game at 15:36 into the Third Period with the Buffalo Sabres finishing ahead 4-2.

Responding to concerns there would be only one way in and one way out of the future high school in Castaic’s Romero Canyon, the William S. Hart Union High School District has reissued the school’s initial planning report to include a second access route.

"Buck" McKeon recently accepted the prestigious Keeper of the Flame award from the Center for Security Policy.The award was inaugurated in 1990 to bestow recognition on those individuals who devote their public careers to the propagation of democracy and the respect for individual rights throughout the world.
The College of the Canyons Environmental Studies and Environmental Science department will host a lecture and community discussion about the ecological conditions at nearby Channel Islands National Park and the importance of maintaining the National Park System’s treasured ecosystems for future generations.
