    Grocery Workers Approve Contract

    ralphs_cartAccording to the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 770, grocery workers turned out in large numbers Friday and Saturday across Southern California to review and vote on their proposed contract.

    Union leadership recommended voters approve the contract during voting all day Friday and Saturday.

    LA County LIbrary Will Expand EBook Collections

    County-LibraryThe County of Los Angeles Public Library announced that it will add an additional 10,000 eBooks to its digital collections.  These eBooks will be available free of charge for County Library cardholders at colapublib.org/eBooks.

    September 25 2011: Dodgers Sweep Padres 6-2

    The Los Angeles Dodgers played the San Diego Padres today, in the last game of a three part series. The Padres didn't make it on scoreboard until the Fifth Inning when Cunningham slammed a homer. However, that was more than enough time for the boys in blue to make a four-point lead, and then two more in the Eighth Inning, beating the Padres 6-2.

    Dodgers-6, Padres-2
