    For former Santa Clarita resident Jacob Miller one curveball sent him to Afghanistan to serve as Marine.

    Miller, a 2005 graduate from Canyon High School went from playing third base in Canyon Country to filling the same role at College of the Canyons.

    Miller describes his Junior College baseball career as “good”, but wishes he could have played longer. That’s when the first of two curveballs appeared.

    Cal Tech has amended their assessment and is now reporting the earthquake magnitude at 3.3.

    Officials said this morning's earthquake was an aftershock to the magnitude-4.3 Newhall earthquake on September 1.

    UPDATE: Man Killed Outside His Home, Neighbor Suspected

    A Canyon Country man was shot and killed early Saturday in an argument with his next-door neighbor, sheriff’s deputies said.  The victim has been identified as Anthony Davis.  The suspect, Lenny Tracey, has been booked for murder and is being on a million dollar bail.
