September 2, 2011 – Dodgers Beat Braves 8-6

Friday, the Dodgers were in Atlanta for game one of a three game series with the Braves. The Braves scored three runs in the second inning and two more in the third and a run in the ninth. The Dodgers scored two runs in the fourth inning, a run in the sixth and then scored five RBI runs in the seventh. The Dodger went on to win 8 to 6.

Saturday the Dodgers and Braves meet again for game two. Nathan Eovaldi will pitch for the Dodgers and Mike Minor will take the mound for the Braves. Catch the game LIVE beginning at 3:30 PM on AM-1220 KHTS!

Plane Makes Emergency Landing On Sierra Highway

khts_breakingnews2Palmdale Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to Sierra Highway near Red Rover Mine Road in Acton regarding a low flying aircraft at 1:10PM Thursday.

When they arrived they discovered that the plane, a 1946 single engine “Ercoupe 415-c”, had already landed on Sierra Highway. There were no injuries to the plane’s pilot, a 77-year old male Long Beach resident and the sole passenger, a 65-year old female Long Beach resident.
