"[Earle] has been released pending future investigation," said Lt. Eduardo Hernandez of the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau. According to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department's website, he was released at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday without bail. His next appearance is scheduled at the Newhall Municipal Court on September 30.
The Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA Y-Guides will host a one-night recruitment campout at Castaic Lake on Saturday night.
The event is open to the public and intended for families with children in kindergarten through third grade who would be interested in learning more about the Y-Guides program or just having a fun night camping at the lake.

A former building inspector for the city of Santa Clarita is scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 30 on charges he accepted more than $30,000 in bribes while issuing and signing off on building permits, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office reported today.
Two men were injured, one seriously, in a head-on collision on Vazquez Canyon Road west of Burton this morning, causing the road to be closed temporarily.
A 1997 Chevy 1500 pickup driven by Savino Pilarski, 39, of Valencia, was westbound, while Ray Sekerez, 48, of Green Valley, was eastbound when the collision occurred at 5:55 this morning.
