    September 28, 2011 Dodgers Beat D-Backs 7-5

    Wednesday, the Dodgers finished up their season with game three against the D-Backs. L.A. was able to hang on to win their final game despite a five run ninth inning for Arizona. 7 to 5 was the final.

    Fresh, ripe, jucy tomatoes.  I’ll bet, if close your eyes right now, you can recall the smell.  Maybe, your mouth is watering just a little bit too.  But we’re not the only living things that are attracted to the scent of ripe tomatoes.  Their smell also attracts certain plants.  Plants?  Yes - specifically - dodder plants.

    Rampage To Thunder Into Cougar Stadium November 5

    rampageHart High’s award-winning marching band and color guard, Hart Regiment, will host its 28th Annual Hart Rampage Marching Band Field Show Tournament on Saturday, November 5, at College of the Canyons.

     

     

    More than 30 high school bands from across the state -- including all six Hart District high schools -- are expected to participate in the day-long event, which will be held at Cougar Stadium, located at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road in Valencia.

    Gardening In Shade

    If your lawn or yard is not-so-sunny then choosing plants and trees that do well in shade is extremely important. 

    You can still have color in shade, bright pink and red impatiens love the shade and add a nice contrast to mostly green plants.

    Hostas are another great plant to place in a shaded area as well as dianthus, white alssum and viola. You can have plenty of flowers in shade!
