    California Arts Council Funds Lula Washington Residency At PAC

    California's foreclosure rate is at an all time high. One in every 248 homes or 54,088 homes in California are currently under foreclosure.  Currently, California is number three in the highest foreclosure rates in the U.S. behind Nevada and Arizona. In Santa Clarita, there are currently 121 homes under foreclosure.

    The word foreclosure is tossed around a lot but not too many people know what it means.

    No. 9 The Master's College Women's Soccer Team Opens With Win

    khts_sportsThe Master’s College women’s soccer team, ranked ninth in the NAIA, beat Oregon Tech, 2-1, and won its season opener.

    Natasha Coyle scored both goals for The Master’s College. She scored her first goal in the 31st minute and scored again seven minutes later to give the Mustangs a 2-0 lead at halftime.

    The Master’s College outshot Oregon Tech, 20-5. Next up for The Master’s College is William Jessup University on Wednesday.

    BREAKING NEWS: Water Main Break On Soledad In Canyon Country

    A 15-foot-wide sinkhole has developed at the site of an underground water main break on Soledad Canyon Road near Luther Drive.

    All eastbound traffic lanes are now open with one westbound lane open.

     

    Possible Bomb Materials Found In Canyon Country During Warrant Search

    khts_crimeA suspected explosive device was found at a Canyon Country location where deputies served a search warrant Monday morning. Arson/Explosives investigators are examining the device to determine its makeup.

     

    The search, which took place before 5 a.m. and was executed by the Sheriff’s SWAT team, was made after information gleaned from a traffic stop last Wednesday indicated that there might be such a device at this location.
