The Canyon and Valencia football teams are ranked in the top 10 of the CIF Southern Section Northern Division preseason poll.
Canyon comes in at No. 4. Valencia, the reigning Foothill League champs, is No. 5. Three teams from the Marmonte League took the top three spots in the poll.
