Luckily, no one was injured.


Motorhome Causes Brusher In Center Divider Of 14

khts_brushfireA small fire that started with a disabled motorhome caused a brief closure of the northbound 14 freeway at Ward Road this afternoon.


According to the CHP, the motorhome broke down and began to burn on the right shoulder at 12:58 p.m. Embers drifted to the center divider, where brush began to burn, forcing the closure of all northbound traffic.

Local Physicians Make Top Doc List

HMNMHHenry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital is celebrating the recognition of three of its physicians by U.S. News & World Report’s “Top Doctors” list announced in July.

The 2011 peer-nominated review included Drs. Mark Liker, Thomas J. Connolly and Nancy Ellerbroek, all of whom practice at the hospital’s Valencia campus in addition to other medical facilities.

MTA Approves Transit Pass Program For Emancipated Youth

The Metrocounty_sealpolitan Transit Authority Board of Directors unanimously approved a plan by County Supervisor and MTA Director Michael D. Antonovich to develop a pilot program providing no-cost EZ Transit passes for the County's Emancipated Youth Self-Sufficiency program.

The EZ Transit pass will provide service for all municipal and rail systems.

August 6 2011: Dodgers Beat Diamondbacks 5-3

The Los Angeles Dodgers played a great game today, beating the Arizona Diamondbacks 5-3. Nathan Eovaldi is the Dodgers latest and youngest recruit, and at 21 years old, he is starting the season off right by throwing in the 90mph range consistentely and striking out seven today.
