    Madison Stears and her friend are hosting Alex's Lemonade Stand at Sunday's free performance of Shakespeare in the Park.  The Lemonade is free, but donations are gladly accepted for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, fighting childhood cancer one glass at a time.

    West Ranch, Hart, Saugus Win In First Round Of Valley Invitational Baseball League Playoffs

    khts_sportsThe West Ranch baseball team beat the Spartans, 8-3, in the first round of the Valley Invitational Baseball League playoffs.

    The top-seeded Wildcats move on to play Agoura in the second round on Friday.

    In other games, Hart upset Loyola, 3-2, and will play fourth-seeded Harvard-Westlake in the second round. Harvard-Westlake beat Golden Valley, 8-2, in the first round.

    Fire Protection Fees A Hot Issue In Sacramento

    Deputy Kevin Duxbury was attempting to stop a driver who had run the red light at Bouquet Canyon and Soledad Canyon Roads at around 10 p.m.

     

    As he pursued the driver, who was traveling eastbound, another car pulled into the adjacent lane and created somewhat of a hindrance.
