UPDATED: Seizure-Prone Canyon Country Man Found Safe At Residence

A Canyon Country man who was reported missing by his mother has been found safe at the home of a friend.

The missing man is 19-year old Patrick Ibarra, who left his Canyon Country home around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night to take a black Lakers jacket to a friend in Castaic, but never made it there.

COC Performing Arts Season Kicks Off Sept. 16 With Kenny Loggins

Phone Scam Making The Rounds In SCV

khts_crime_genericThe Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department is warning the public about another phone scam that seems to be making the rounds.

A Santa Clarita resident reported receiving calls from (302) 394-6964. The caller told the resident she was the winner of $100.


The caller asked for personal information including her credit card number to bill her for the postage and handling.

Chris Angelo Named SCV Chamber's 2012 Chairman Of The Board

City Launches Website To Get Input On Lyons Avenue Corridor

Hart Softball Team Beats Upland In Extra Innings In CIF Playoffs

khts_sportsThe Hart softball team hit a pair of timely home runs and beat Upland, 4-3 in extra innings, in the wild-card round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs.

Hart’s Jessica Jones hit a game-winning solo home run with two outs in the eighth inning. Tracy Chandless hit a two-out, two-run home run in the seventh inning to give Hart a 3-2 lead.

Upland tied the game in the bottom of the seventh inning to send it into extra innings.

Antonovich Emphasizes Need For Consolidation To Save State, County Budgets
