West Ranch Softball Team Squeezes Into Second Round Of CIF Playoffs

khts_sportsThe West Ranch softball team was the only team from the Foothill League to survive the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 1 playoffs on Thursday.

West Ranch used a squeeze play in the bottom of the seventh inning to squeak past Moorpark, 6-5. Haley Hineman layed down the bunt that scored MacKenzie Morgan with the winning run.

The Dodgers dropped the second of this two game mini-series to the dreaded Giants. For the first time this season the Dodgers are 5 games below .500.

Final score: Los Angeles Dodgers-1, San Francisco Giants-3
