The Los Angles Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies 7-1. A great hitting performance by the Dodgers tonight. The Dodgers had a four run inning in the 3rd with two RBI's from Andre Ethier, a sacrifice fly by Matt Kemp, and an RBI single by James Loney. Andre Ethier recorded his third RBI of the game in the 5th Inning and James Loney added two more runs with a 2-run homerun. Valencia’s Bryan Herta took an unlikely gulp of milk after winning the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday as Dan Wheldon took the lead from JR Hildebrand on the final lap of the race.

Wheldon, driving for Bryan Herta Autosport, led the race for only a few hundred yards, but it was the most important few hundred yards. He took the checkered flag at the famed Brickyard for the second time in his career and the first since 2005.

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend.

There were eleven of us at our house. We sat out by the pool, visited, laughed, were sprayed with water from strategically placed cannon balls and barbequed some great food.

I made a mango relish to go with the grilled chicken. Everyone enjoyed it, so I thought you might too.
