Award For Arrest In Dodger Stadium Beating Goes To $100K

r-DODGER-STADIUM-BEATING-large570A $100,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for the attack on Bryan Stow at Dodger Stadium after the opening day game on March 31.

Pysanky Class Set At Golden Oak In May

pysankysoloOne of the most unique art forms of the season is pysanky, or the Ukrainian method of dyeing hard-boiled eggs with a wax-resist technique.

 

 

Budding artists can learn the techniques in a series of four classes at Golden Oak Adult School, which will begin May 1 and will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on May 1, 15, 22 and 29. Artist Olga Kaczmar will be the instructor.

Hart Baseball Team Rallies For Win Over Murrieta Valley

khts_sportsThe Hart baseball team scored five runs in the sixth inning in a come-from-behind, 6-5, win over Murrieta Valley in the OC Nissan Tournament.

Luke Persico knocked in two runs with a single in the inning. Alex Tenorio had an RBI triple and Tyler Glasnow drove in the eventual game winner with a pinch hit single.

The Kings could have clinched their place in the playoffs with a win, but the Sharks had a little something to say about that and with their win they are the Pacific Division champions for the second year in a row.

Eight-Year-Old Dies In Multi-Car Collision On 14 Freeway

khts_ambulanceAn 8 year-old boy lost his life after a multi-car collision Friday afternoon on the northbound 14 freeway.

Shortly after 4:30 p.m., Faten Hatoum, 39, of Lancaster was driving her 2011 Nissan at an undetermined speed northbound on State Route 14  north of Escondido Canyon in the #3 lane.

The Association of Professional Animal Waste Specialists (aPaws), founded in February 2002, has established April 1-7 as International Pooper Scooper Week as a special week of educating pet owners on the importance of cleaning up after their dogs.

Even though the week begins on a day where everyone tries to pull a fast one, aPaws wants people to open their eyes to the importance of keeping yards and public spaces waste-free.
