Rooms And Blooms To Close Newhall Shop

roomsnbloomsAfter many years of serving the Santa Clarita Valley, Rooms & Blooms is closing the doors to its retail shop located at 23123 Lyons Ave. near Old Town Newhall. The shop will still sell many of its unique items on its website, www.roomsandblooms.com, as well as through other retailers.

 

Rooms & Blooms’ products can be found in over 50 retail outlets in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington and Hawaii.

West Ranch Baseball Team Downs Mater Dei, 4-3

khts_sportsWest Ranch’s Matt Blake collected four hits in his team’s 4-3 win over Mater Dei in the Anaheim Lions Tournament.

West Ranch strarter Ryan Keller came within one out of a complete game and struck out 10.

JC Cloney and Gabe Peralta each had two hits apiece for West Ranch, which is 3-0-1 in the tournament.

Golden Valley starter Scott Barlow struck out 15 in his team’s 4-2 win over La Quinta in the Coachella Valley Tournament.

If you go high enough into the mountains, you begin to see pine trees.

If you go even higher, you begin to begin to see conifer forests.  And that’s where the back-scratching and freeloading begins.  But like all back-room deals, you can’t see it, because it happens underground.

April 5 2011: Dodgers Get Shutout By Rockies 3-0

The Dodgers hitting was on target but were unable to score against the Rockies Tuesday night. The Rockies got under the skin of Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw with home runs by Troy Tulowitzki at the bottom of the 4th inning and Chris Iannetta at the bottom of the 5th inning. Also at the bottom of the 6th inning, Dexter Fowler scores with a single by Jose Lopez. The Final score was 3-0. Tune in Wednesday April 6th at 11:30am as the Dodgers take on the Rockies here on your hometown station AM-1220, KHTS.

Nickelsburg Added To Economic Outlook Lineup

Presented by the Santa Clarita Valley Economic Development Corporation and the College of the Canyons, the event will take place from 7:30 to 11 a.m. April 28 in the Grand Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency in Valencia.
