A rain delay postponed the game until 7:30pm. Play resumed until the 2nd inning when a second rain delay was issued. Play then continued at 9:18pm during the Top of the 2nd inning. Rain delay at 11:05 pm during the Bottom of the 6th Inning. Play continued at 12:20 am Bot 6th. A 4th rain delay was issued postponing the game. Game tied 2-2 in the 9th

McKeon Hopes Shutdown Doesn't Happen

newBuckWith the wheels of federal government screeching and groaning to a possible halt at midnight Friday, our Congressman expressed hope that a shutdown was not in the works.

“We don’t know yet,” said Representative Buck McKeon, “We just had a conference an hour ago and Speaker Boehner told us where we were. He said the rider issues have been pretty much taken care of and all we are fighting about is money; how much we want to cut and how much they didn’t want to cut.”

Renowned Neighborhood Makeover Program Returns To Canyon Country

Santa Clarita’s Extreme Neighborhood Makeover Block Party returns Saturday April 9 at noon when the grass-roots campaign works to beautify 300 homes in Canyon Country.  

The event is orchestrated by the City in partnership with several sponsors, including the Sheriff’s and Fire departments, KHTS AM-1220, local water agencies, Grace Baptist Church volunteers, nonprofits and licensed contractors.

Trinity Softball Team Erupts Against Santa Clarita Christian

khts_sportsThe Trinity Classical Academy softball team beat Santa Clarita Christian, 12-2, behind a seven-run outburst in the third inning.

Jacey Massetto hit a three-run home run to cap the third inning and give Trinity a 9-1 lead.

Haley Heerdt drove in a run in the third inning and Lacey Cerulle knocked in a run in the fourth for Santa Clarita Christian.

Trinity scored two more runs in the fourth inning and one more in the fifth.
