Hometown Recipes: Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

Long ago when I was a little girl, and I mean long ago, I would make peanut butter cookies for my friends. The recipe I used was from the Betty Crocker Cookbook that my Aunt Ethel gave me. I still have the cook book but it has definitely seen better days. The front cover is missing and it’s held together with a rubber band. Ahh, happy memories.

Enhanced Enforcement Along Highway 14 To Increase Safety

chplogoThe California Highway Patrol has stepped up safety enforcement along State Route 14 to reduce the number of fatal and injury collisions related to driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal drugs.

“Our goal is to save lives by ensuring California’s roadways are a safe place for all motorists,” said Captain Mark Odle, commander of the CHP’s Newhall area. “Removing impaired drivers from the road is a giant step in that direction.”

Additional Cases Of Radiation Overexposure Surface

Yet another hospital is being named in a series of ongoing lawsuits brought forward by patients claiming overexposure to radiation during CT scans.  

Between October 9, 2009 and November 23, 2010, nearly 100 patients at Cabell Huntington Hospital in West Virginia may have received exposure to radiation that is above the recommended level.
