Los Angeles City Firefighter Glenn Allen has died from injuries suffered in the line of duty on Wednesday.
Allen, a 38-year veteran of the LAFD, was part of a group of firefighters responding to a structure fire at 1546 North Viewsite Drive in the Hollywood Hills at 11:19 p.m. that night. During the firefighting efforts, a partial ceiling collapse occurred, injuring four LAFD and two Los Angeles County Firefighters.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station is joining in partnership to support the Special Olympics Santa Clarita Valley at the annual Polar Plunge event Saturday, February 26. Starting at 10 a.m., deputies and community members will plunge into Castaic Lake to benefit this great cause.
