    Etiwanda jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter and held Valencia scoreless for the first three-and-a-half minutes of the game.

    The Master's College Retires Mike Penberthy's Basketball Jersey Number

    khts_sportsMike Penberthy went from being the leading scorer in The Master’s College basketball history to an NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers.

    Last night, he became the first player from The Master’s College to have his number retired.

    Penberthy, who wore No. 33 when he played for The Master’s College, was on the Lakers team that won the NBA championship in 2001. He spent two seasons with the Lakers and averaged 4.9 points per game.

    Hart District Plans Theater Festival This Weekend

    The festival will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the COC Performing Arts Center and from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday in the Golden Valley High School Theater.
