COC Men's Basketball Team Wins Third Game In A Row

khts_sportsThe College of the Canyons men’s basketball team is officially on a roll. The Cougars won their third game in a row, 64-55, over West LA College.

Parker Dominguez had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds for COC. Wesley Bartole scored 14 points.

The College of the Canyons women beat West LA, 88-47, and improved to 7-0 in Western State Conference play.

Nursing Homes Required To Display Grades Prompted By Antonovich Action

mikeantonovichStarting January 1, anyone seeking a good skilled nursing facility for an elderly or incapacitated family member will be able to get valuable information to help them make their choice.

Similar to the letter-grade restaurant grading system instituted in Los Angeles County in 1997, nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities will now have to post a 1-to-5 star ‘rating’ from federal inspectors and share information on the county’s website.
