Listeria monocytogenes is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Saugus Girls Soccer Team Improves To 4-0 In Foothill League Play

khts_sports The Saugus girls soccer team kept its undefeated Foothill League record alive with a 1-0 win over Valencia.

Jill Allen was credited with the lone goal in the game when her throw-in deflected off a defender and into the net in the 50^th minute.

Saugus improved to 4-0 and is the only team with an undefeated Foothill League record.

The Los Angeles Kings beat the Boston Bruins 2-0. Leading goal scorer for the Kings, Ryan Smith scored first, and the second goal was scored by Andrei Loktionov. Jonathan Quick recorded his 5th shut-out of the season and remains undefeated against the Bruins for his career. Gas Leak Found In Castaic Neighborhood

gaspipes UPDATE: The pipes have been repaired, leak is no more.

A gas leak has been reported in Castaic and company crews are enroute to fix the problem.

According to the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station, a homeowner in the 32000 block of Big Oaks Lane called to report smelling gas and seeing a broken pipe in the area.

The Fire Department has turned off the gas at that location and crews from the Gas Co. are on their way.

Manfro broke the Valencia school record for rushing and touchdowns in his senior season.

He will be joining a UCLA Bruins team that went 4-8 in 2010.
