Man Injured After Altercation On I-5 Freeway

khts_crime_genericPolice responded to an incident that occured on the I-5 freeway on Friday night that involved 24-year-old Harris Evans who got into a physical altercation with his step father, Robert Gallion.

The altercation caused the car to swerve off of the freeway onto the side of the road, the exact location of the incident is unknown. Authorities say Evans strangled Gallion to the point of unconciousness.

Children's Dental Health Group Salutes Volunteers And Dentists


The Foundation for Children’s Dental Health, a non-profit organization dedicated to provide dental and preventative care to the school children in the Santa Clarita Valley who would not otherwise have dental services available to them.



In 2010, the Foundation for Children’s Dental Health provided dental treatment, dental health education, and preventative treatment to 4,132 of the young children in Santa Clarita.

Democratic Club of SCV Sets First 2011 Meeting

This is a chance to meet new officers and understand the new agenda. Darren Parker, a Democratic candidate for the State 17th Senatorial District will be in attendance to meet supporters and detail his plan for the New Year.

City Adds Large Catalog To Library System

khts_citymatters_scvlogoThe Santa Clarita City Council unanimously agreed to join the Inland Library Network, a collaboration of eight independent library systems totaling 76 branches, allowing for over one million unique titles to be available to Santa Clarita library visitors.

The member library systems of the Inland Library Network share a library catalog of library materials including books, audio books, music CDs and DVDs.
