The Valencia boys basketball team beat West Ranch, 67-61, for their second Foothill League win in a row.
Five players were ejected from the game for fighting in the fourth quarter. Among them were Valencia’s Lonnie Jackson, the team’s leading scorer, and West Ranch’s Brian Polynice.
Valencia’s Troy Hammel scored a game-high 15 points, but was one of the players ejected in the fourth quarter. Jackson had 11 points before he was ejected.
A Florida judge has declared two provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, signed into law last year by President Barack Obama, as unconstitutional, validating the claims of 26 states and a national business owners group and declaring the entire Act void.

The California Congress of Republicans kicked off it’s 2011 Biannual Convention at the Embassy Suites In Santa Clarita Friday evening. The event is being hosted by both the Santa Clarita Valley and the Hollywood Congress of Republicans.
