Providence Holy Cross Gives To PAC K-12 Arts Outreach Program

Two Killed In Traffic Accident On The I-5 At Gavin Canyon

khts_ambulanceReyna Medina of Inglewood and an unidentified passenger were pronounced dead this morning after an incident involving two vehicles occured on the I-5 freeway at Gavin Canyon.

 

The incident occured at approximately 6:30 a.m. when, Huy Huang of Gardena, the driver of a 2001 Acura TL was traveling on the I-5 freeway at 65 miles per hour.

UPDATED: Cable Failure Leaves Saugus Residents Without Power

Power was restored to all homes at 12:25 p.m.

At approximately 3:25 a.m., a cable failure caused 1,789 residences in the Saugus area to lose power.

The affected homes were located north of Decoro Drive, south of Copper Hill Drive, west of Carnegie Avenue, and east of Palmetto Ridge Drive.

Club Girls Earn Robotics Award At Competition

robotgirlsCLUBtwoSeven girls, ages 11-14, from the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clarita Valley took part in an all-day robotics competition on Sunday, Nov. 21, at La Canada High School.  They walked away with the Research Quality Award, enhanced confidence, and memories of an amazing experience.

Princess Foundation Helps Single Mothers Outreach Cruise To Happy Holidays

khts_inthecommunityThe Princess Cruises Community Foundation donated $15,000 to Single Mothers Outreach of Santa Clarita (SMO) to help single parent families during the holiday season. Employees of Princess Cruises in Valencia purchased gifts for the selected families and gathered for a gift-wrapping party. The presents were then given to 100 local families during a holiday celebration.

Runner To Step Down From Senate Tuesday, Prepares For Board Of Equalization

Sen. George Runner today submitted his notice of resignation ahead of being sworn in to the state Board of Equalization, his office has confirmed.  

The Republican from the 17th Senate District was elected to the tax board November 2, and will officially step down next Tuesday, December 21. His Board of Equalization term officially begins January 3.  

With Main Street Complete, City Cuts Another Red Ribbon
