The L.A. Kings faced off against the #1 team in the NHL, the Detroit Redwings at Staples Center this evening. At the end of regulation time they were tied at 2 apiece. Midway through the 5 minute sudden death overtime period, Anze Kopitar scored the game winning goal for the Kings. Final Score: Los Angeles Kings - 3, Detroit Redwings - 2

The College of the Canyons men’s soccer team scored three goals in a 26-minute span to knock off the top-seeded, northern California team, Fresno City, 3-0 in the semifinals of the 2010 California Community College Athletic Association Men’s Soccer State Championship at College of the Canyons.

I probably familiarized myself with West Side Story far before Romeo and Juliet. If the annals of my suspect memory serve me correct, I watched the Robert Wise and Jerome Robbins film with my mother or grandfather at an early age. 
Providence Holy Cross Medical Center has entered into a partnership with the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center (PAC) at College of the Canyons to provide sponsorship and support of the PAC’s ongoing K-12 Arts Education Outreach Program.
Every three years, students from Pinegrove School located in Shimla, Himachel Pridesh, India have the opportunity to visit and experience life in the United Sates. The students travel here where volunteer families of Santa Clarita will act as host families for these students for a two-week period between December 30 and January 18.
