Ramona Days Coming To Rancho Camulos Saturday

2811.ramonaWatch history come to life with performances by more than 20 actors and dancers at the third annual “Ramona Days” celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, November 6 at Rancho Camulos Museum in Piru.

All things “Ramona” will be celebrated to honor Helen Hunt Jackson’s 1884 classic California novel by the same name, which is set at the historic Ventura County ranch.

Four Hart Girls Advance To Individual Final In CIF Golf Playoffs

khts_sportsFour girls from the Hart golf team advanced in the CIF Southern Section Northern Individual Regional at Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo.

Brenna Carlson, Amanda Corr, Jamie Corr and Nikki Prichard made the cut for the next round of the CIF playoffs, the Southern Section Individual Final at La Purisima Golf Course in Lompoc.

Update: Brush Fires Prompt Shutdown Of 14 Freeway

At approximately 5:30 p.m., firefighters began efforts to contain three brush fires just off SR-14 headed northbound at Agua Dulce Canyon Road.

The entire fire was knocked down at approximately 6:45 p.m.

Caltrans is reporting that the HOV and number one lanes going northbound are now open. The number two and three lanes are still closed.

Deputies Catch Robbery Suspect At Golden Valley High

Deputies captured a handcuffed robbery suspect that escaped from his arresting officer at Golden Valley High School around 3 p.m. and took him to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station for booking.

Deputies had contained the area around the school, posting deputies at Robert C. Lee Parkway and Golden Valley Road.

Kings Lead Western Conference In Great Start In Regular Season
