Shopper Loses Wallet In Strongarm Robbery

khts_crimeA shopper at Stater Brothers market in Canyon Country had her  wallet taken by force on Saturday evening.

The victim told deputies that a black man grabbed her wallet containing identification and credit cards out of her purse.

 

The man then jumped into a waiting car and fled the scene.

Trio Arrested For Stealing Items From Motel Under Construction

khts_crime_genericDeputies arrested three men, possibly transients, on suspicion of burglary Saturday. The Santa Clarita station received a call from the owner of a motel in Lebec that was undergoing renovation, saying that the men were stealing items from the building.

 

 

Kern County Sheriff and California Highway Patrol officers both assisted in the arrests, taking Russell Markusson, 36; James Hayes, 53, and Patrick Vincer, 44, into custody.

Walk To School Day Set For Wednesday
