Canyon High Student Followed During P.E. Run

khts_crimeA 17-year old Canyon High student was on an off-campus run during a P.E. class shortly before noon Thursday when a slow-moving dark blue van drove up alongside her as she approached Delight Street and Camp Plenty Road.


The driver, a male Hispanic between the ages of 20 to 30 repeatedly asked her if she wanted a ride, making the victim nervous. She sped up her run, with the van following her for a short while before turning off in another direction.

Negotiations Begin For Completion Of Library Expansion

Safety Enhanced Cars To Be Added To Metrolink System In 2011

mikeantonovichTwenty additional safety-enhanced cars will be added to the Metrolink system next year, thanks to action by County Supervisor and MTA Director Michael D. Antonovich.

The MTA Board approved Antonovich’s motion, co-authored by Directors Knabe, Najarian, Katz and Villaraigosa, to exercise an option increasing the number of safety-enhanced cars to 137 in a rail car order Metrolink placed with manufacturer Hyundai Rotem.
