Providence Partners To Provide Expanded Lab Services

khts_inthecommunityA new clinical laboratory services company serving the San Fernando Valley and neighboring communities is being created by Providence Health & Services, California, and Pathology Associates Medical Laboratories (PAML,) LLC.  The new California Laboratory Associates (CLA), LLC, is planned to begin business early next year.

Update: Power Outage In Sand Canyon


Updated Saturday, 5:35 p.m.

At 3:45 p.m., a vehicle hit a Southern California Edison pole near the intersection of Sand Canyon Road and Placerita Canyon Drive, causing a power outage for 409 local residents.  Power was restored around 5:30 p.m.

Canyon Country Man Assaulted In Front Of His Home

khts_crimeAt 5 a.m. this morning, a man on the 18400 block of Jakes Way in Canyon Country was threatened and assaulted by a group of men arguing outside of his home.  He sustained minor injuries and the attackers have been detained.

Reportedly, three or four men had been standing outside arguing loudly.  When the resident asked them to quiet down, one of them, a 16 year old, threatened, "Go back to sleep before I kill you and your whole family."

SBDC And ATI To Provide Local Small Businesses With Health Insurance Solutions

Acton Community Rallies To Help Four Children Orphaned After Traffic Accident

khts_inthecommunityFamily friends said that Missy Darnell and her five children were just starting to smile again after the sudden death of the family patriarch, Kirk, eight months ago.

Then tragedy struck again.



Missy and two of her children were walking along Antelope Woods Road on Monday night when a car struck two of the three, killing both Missy and her 9-year-old daughter, Genevieve.
