Free Immunizations For Children

khts_healthWith school starting in just a matter of weeks, the Northeast Valley Health Corporation (NEVHC) is preparing to help students stay healthy by hosting a free back-to-school immunization event from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on August 11 at the NEVHC Santa Clarita Health Center, located at 18533 Soledad Canyon Rd.

Artist To Make Watercolor Demonstration At Artists' Association Meeting

FEALINGPHOTOWEB-2On November 15, the Santa Clarita Artists’ Association award-winning watercolorist, Fealing Lin of San Marino, will make a watercolor demonstration. Her demonstration piece will be raffled off at the end of the evening.

Buffalo Flash Wins USL W-League Women's Soccer Championship

khts_sportsThe Buffalo Flash scored three second-half goals and beat the Vancouver Whitescaps, 3-1, in the championship game of the United Soccer League W-League playoffs at Canyon High School on Saturday night.

Veronica Boquete scored two goals for Buffalo. Her first goal broke a 1-1 tie in the 64th minute. Her second goal came in the 88th minute and gave her team a two-goal cushion.

August 1 2010: Dodgers Lose To Giants 2-0

The Los Angeles Dodgers are shutout and by the San Francisco Giants 2-0. The Giants swept the Dodgers in this 3-game series. Tune in tomorrow, August 2 at 6:30 pm when the Dodgers return home for a 4-game series against the San Diego Padres on your Hometown Station KHTS AM-1220.

 

Construction On Freeways Will Cause Closures

As part of a $161 million improvement project to construct carpool lanes, the California Department of Transportation will close the following lanes,

ramps, and connectors of the Antelope Valley Freeway and the Golden State Freeway.

Antelope Valley Freeway closures:

August 1 through Friday August 6

 

Up to two lanes of the Southbound SR-14 Connector to Southbound I-5
