    Hart District Schools Go Back August 12

    Family Hurt By Katrina Makes Donation To SCV Disaster Coalition

    khts_givingbackNoel Dubose and his family were just one family of many that were tragically affected by Hurricane Katrina in August of 2005. The Dubose family was left with a destroyed home and no means of transportation.

    Dubose, his wife, and his three sons quickly picked up and moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where they stayed for one week.

    “We realized after one week that we couldn’t go back home so we moved to Valencia.” said Dubose.

    Hart District Announces Coordinator Of Student Services

    Kathy_HunterKathy Hunter, the current principal of Sequoia Charter School, has been named Coordinator of Student Services for the William S. Hart Union High School District. The Governing Board approved the appointment at its August 4 meeting, and the transfer will be effective August 6.

    Crossbow Killer Sentenced To 64 To Life

    khts_crime_genericThe Lancaster man convicted of the March 2008 crossbow murder of a retired Edwards Air Force Base employee was sentenced today to 64 years to life in prison.

    Judge Hayden Zacky pronounced sentence against Arsellers  Curtis Scott, 39, said Deputy District Attorney Ryan Williams.
