CHP Captain Helps Remove Drunk Driver From Freeway

khts_crime_chpAs proof that a law enforcement officer is always on the job, Newhall area Commander Captain Mark Odle helped take a drunk driver off the freeway Wednesday as he returned from the funeral of CHP Officer Philip Ortiz.

Odle was a passenger in an unmarked car (with lights) driven by Sgt. Andy Hernandez, traveling northbound on the I-5.

Chicken Of The Sea Tuna Recalled For Sealing Issues

khts_recallsTri-Union Seafoods LLC is issuing a precautionary, voluntary recall of a limited amount of Chicken of the Sea brand 12-ounce solid white tuna in water.

Due to a production error, the product does not meet the company's standards for seal tightness, and the company is conducting the precautionary, voluntary recall out of an abundance of caution to ensure public health, said Shue Wing Chan, president, Tri-Union Seafoods.
